Monday Night, October 22, On Leaving Korea
Today was jam-packed and fascinating. Again and again, we saw the legacy of Presbyterian mission in strong, leading colleges, universities, seminaries, and hospitals, and in the church that has doubled every 10 years since the Great Awakening and the Great Revival 100 years ago.
We finished off the day and evening with Korean Presbyterian Women, whose ministries are extensive (see link at left). We had dinner with a few of them, who are heading off soon to train women in Moscow, as they have already done for thousands of women in Korea. They train women in theology, church polity and other subjects in order to prepare them for leadership in the church. There is that recurring leadership theme again, encountered so often throughout my journey here.
I have more stories to tell - and will - but we're packing our bags to head home tomorrow morning. It's hard to believe that we have been in Asia only nine days. "So teach us to count our days," writes the Psalmist, "that we may gain a wise heart."

Thank you so much for taking the effort to write and tell us so much. What a great way for many to see your perspective and learn more about our partners--brothers and sisters, as you said.
Your journey sounds well arranged.
