The United States has signed, but not ratified the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women.
The 199th General Assembly (1987) of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) urged the United States to ratify the Convention on Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women. Since then, other assemblies have reaffirmed this call.

If only we would join the world community in ratifying this convention. We are in the company of countries like Yemen and Sudan in this inaction.
