Recently I read a passage from Scriptures that speaks volumes about God’s desires for God’s children to care for each other.
1 Corinthians 12:25 “so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other.” (TNIV)
I can think of so many applications of this truth. I actually intend to revisit the passage in the future. But at this time, I will like to relate this “mutual concern” that we should have for each other to the area of economics.
I recently heard on the radio program Speaking of Faith about a new economic concept called “Patient Capitalism”. It is a very innovative concept. I share this with you here because it is a “communal” and global approach to “caring for each other”. In this approach people from all theological and religious persuasions unite for the common good. Many people around the world are uniting in many ways to address issues of economic justice, you are probably doing so in some way.
I invite you to read about this concept called Patient Capitalism, but even more I invite you to get involve in some way in local or global efforts to give every person in the planet the choice to live “life abundantly” (John 10:10).

(I don’t intend this to be an endorsement of this program, but rather a challenge for everyone to get involved.)
