The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who:
challenged us to develop a world perspective
reminded us that individuals do not live alone
called us back to the challenge of making this one geographical world one neighborhood
exhorted us to live together as sisters and brothers or to perish together as fools
pointed to the reality that we are tied together a the single garment of destiny, caught in an inescapable network of mutuality
affirmed that whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly and that none of us can be what we ought to be until all of us are what we ought to be.
For the life and ministry and witness of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., thanks be to God!
